While every human being is born a sinner and is therefore responsible for their own actions, the Bible gives no indication that little children will suffer the consequences of original sin. God will have mercy on whoever he will. God is fair and just. Little children are not conscious of sin and therefore bears no responsibility. There comes a time when every person will have passed the time of Innocence, to accountability. The word of God said: I will have mercy on whom I will. The grace of God is sufficient and God is within his own sovereign right. Jesus said: suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Jesus said: anyone who does not come as a child cannot enter into the kingdom. In observing children we recognize that they have a time of Innocence. Jesus showed his love for little children and refers to them as an example of how our hearts should be in order to enter the kingdom of God.
