God offers salvation to all through Jesus Christ. All who hear the gospel and truly believe in him, by confession of faith in Him will be saved. baptism is one method confessing faith in Jesus Christ. The believers reward is eternal life in the kingdom of God. The Bible said he that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not on the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36). God is merciful and so people who lived before Jesus came into the world, more than two thousand years ago, they got saved when they responded positively to God’s revelation to them.
All who hear the gospel preached or given to them and rejected it, will not go to heaven when they die. Jesus said this: I said therefore unto you that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye do not believe that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. Every person is responsible to God who offers salvation to all. Die in your sins mean that this person has rejected God’s free offer of salvation to be saved his righteous wrath and the final destination for the unrepentant.
