What is repentance?

Repentance is to be truly sorry for your sins, to ask for God’s forgiveness and turn away from doing the same again. All human beings were born with the sin nature, we are prone to sin but as the Bible says while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus said: behold, I stand at the door, and knock if any man hear my voice, and open the door I will come in to him and will sup with him and he with me. Repentance means we acknowledge our sins before God and ask for his forgiveness. The Bible says he is willing and able to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We are sinners who to need humbly repent before the holy God who is merciful loving, kind and will forgive us of our sins.
