Christians believe heaven is God’s Kingdom, the final resting for all people who believe putting faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of our lives. To be in heaven is to be eternally with the Lord in his Paradise or his kingdom of light joy and splendor. Heaven will have no sadness, pain or suffering. The Bible doesn’t describe all of what heaven will be for us but it does give us enough to think about. Revelation 21; and 22:1-5 are some of the most revealing and encouraging verses in the Bible for believers. The verses here may be symbolically speaking but they give us much to think about as to what heaven will be like.
The Apostle Paul in 2nd Corinthians 12:1-4 was likely referring to himself and he said that he did not have permission to talk about it but he had a vision of being caught up into Paradise. It seems God wanted to encourage us through Paul, to think of what we can expect in heaven. As the Apostle closes out his ministry he said: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.
The scripture says: For eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Jesus said: in my father’s house are many mansions if it were not so I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you that where I am, there you may be also.
