What does it mean that Jesus died for our sins? see the message in the answer }

All of humanity have sinned against God our creator; as a result, all humanity became separated from from God. We are lost without Him. Without God we continue to move on with no direction, drifting further into the wilderness of our sinful, state until we would fall into the abyss. We need to be saved from this lost state! To be saved, every individual person must recognize the condition they are in, and that there is only one way to be saved. That way to be saved is through Jesus Christ.

God is Holy and just, He will not allow sin to go on forever and He cannot allow sin to be unpunished, otherwise God would not be the Holy God that He is. In the same way a judge cannot allow law breakers to go without some consequences. God has given us His holy commands by which we should live. Going against God in disobedience is sin against Him. Sin is the transgression of the Law of God. From the first two human beings to all of humanity today. We all face the consequences of having disobeyed God’s commands and have followed after our own sinful ways.

Sadly humanity has found no peace, no satisfaction and no hope in our own ways of living without God. Having gone our own way, guarantees our continued separation from God, still hopelessly lost without Him. Lost people have lost their sense of direction. All of humanity finds itself in the same position. The lost cannot save the lost. All unsaved people are lost without God and time is running out. Yet there is hope and Good News. That only hope for lost humanity is God himself. He provided the only hope for lost humanity through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son, who was crucified on the cross.  Jesus was the atoning sacrifice for our sins. He being the sinless Son of God, stood in place of us to cover us as He suffered the punishment that we deserved, in order to rescue us from our lost condition. His act of love saves from the judgement we deserved.

He rose from the dead because death has no power over Him. Humanity stands guilty of sin before the holy and just God. who declared that there was none righteous, not even one. We have gone our own way without God whose direction we need. The result of this is humanity finds itself totally completely lost in the wilderness of sin.

The situation is that as sinful mankind crosses the periphery of good and evil, recognized or not, in an unsaved condition, it is standing at the edge of the abyss. In order to save you and I, God in His amazing love did something so far reaching and radical: God the the Father placed our sins upon His willing and sinless Son who took the punishment we deserved, so that by His grace and mercy, God declare us righteous to receive His gift of eternal life. We can do nothing to make ourselves deserving. Our only hope of salvation, to be saved from the consequences of sin ( the righteous wrath of God ) is to believe in heart that Jesus came and died for our sins, that He is Lord and that God the Father raised Him from the dead. We must repent and turn from sin, putting faith and trust in Him.
