There is the One True and Living God; and there is no other. Here’s what God said: ***I am the Lord and there is none else, there is no God beside me: Isaiah 43:11. ***Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isaiah 43:10. ***Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3. ***Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the water under the earth: Exodus 20:4. *** Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: Exodus 20:5. ***Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God and there is none like me. Isaiah 46:9. ***Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalms 46:10. ***Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else Isaiah 45:22.
In cultures around the world, people worship all types of conceived deity or gods. There are all kinds of things, from objects to animals, other people and even themselves that people worship as gods. So there are many so-called gods but there is only the One True and Living God who is the creator of the universe and life. He alone is worthy of worship and praise. He has revealed himself in the person of Jesus Christ. He exist eternally, so there was no God before Him, there is no God beside Him. He reigns forever, therefore there can be no after for Him. He is the eternal, self-sustaining, non-contingent being.
